Interesting news for spicy food lovers: Researchers at Harvard Medical School are experimenting with "Capsaicin", the active substance in chili peppers, in search of a targetting
local anaesthetic.

Clifford Woolf and his colleagues at Harvard Medical School have now discovered a way of blocking just the pain neurons using capsaicin…along with a version of lignocaine that can’t diffuse through cell membranes unassisted.

Keep an eye on this, should have some interesting results.
