Short Days: Coping With Winter

Well winter has officially begun… days have been getting shorter and colder and this can also affect one’s productivity and energy levels. I prefer spring and autumn to summer and / or winter and I find it hard, especially in winter, to motivate myself to do..anything. Seems like winter is overshadowed by laziness, nausea and even depression. People always say that one of the best cure for winter blues is get out there into the cold and do fun stuff. So yeah that has worked for me in previous years, also socialize more during the darker months, it will lift your spirit. DIY projects are also fantastic to keep you busy and of course, yummy comfort food. Probably more important now: exercising, preferably outside. I know it takes a lot of motivation sometimes to get working out, but I can assure you, it’s definitely worth it. A lack of exercise will make you feel worse and even more tired and drained.

And by the way, it’s never too early to get into the festive spirit!
