Good Friday "Celebration" In Philippines, Where Was Mel Gibson?

He could have captured some quality material for a “Passion of Christ” sequel; “Passion of Filipinos”.

What comes closer than showing Christian faith than crucifying yourself on Good Friday?

People around the world spent the day in different ways; some reflecting, some questioning their belief, others took the hardcore road plastered with nails and whips.

In the Philippines, where most cities join in on the reenactment of the Passion of Christ every year, have a rather brutal way to demonstrate “faith”. Where people hit themselves brutally with bamboo whips and nail each other to wooden crosses (including a 15 year old boy) and in the midst of all this blood splattering,  noone should forget that it is indeed a celebration with ice cream, beer and souvenir whips being sold. That’s fun.
