Proposal 2.0, Will You Marry Me On Twitter

I think it was just a matter of time until someone did say… well this turned out to be on the safe side. A web designer from San Francisco used the microblogging service Twitter to propose to his girlfriend… Awwww.

Max Kiesler’s sweet tweet at 3:13 a.m. Thursday: “To @emilychang – After fifteen years of blissful happiness I would like to ask for your hand in marriage?”

Emily Chang’s reply, a minute later: “@maxkiesler – yes, i do.”

Alright, it’s original, I guess. Maybe not anymore now that the story has spread throughout the net. Proposing on Twitter, they BOTH really have to be into the web (him clearly since he works in that field) but I don’t think any electric message thrown across the world wide web can substitute a good old “gettin’ on one knee”. Old fashioned, I know. Tweet tweet.
