Catholic School Ban On Harry Potter
Well Harry Potter is not everybody’s darling: A school in a Boston suburb has banned J.K. Rowling’s fictional character. Reverend Ron Baker beliefs that sorcery and witchcraft don’t belong in a catholic community / setting.
Baker:
“I’m in the business of Jesus and this is the enemy camp, It has sorcery spells and it’s not appropriate.”
According to the American Library Association this is the first successful book banning of Harry Potter from a school, seventeen other states attempted to also ban the books since the first publishing in 1998.
