Maybe Plastic Surgery Is All Down To A Brain Disease…

One of my favorite topics unrolled yet again: Plastic surgery. I always suspected that there is something wrong with people who clearly don’t need “beautifying” but do it anyway…I so just happened to stumble across this article about having a distorted body image, in science terms Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), or dysmorphophobia.

Researcher Sanjaya Saxena believes that body dysmorphic disorder is some kind of brain disease that makes people resort to drastic measures to change their appearance, including plastic surgery. However, it’s a pretty rare condition and doesn’t mean that everyone who goes under the knife has got a brain abnormality. Some are just vain whilst others seem to just simply lack a brain.
