"If The Kids Named The Teddy Bear, Why Didn’t They Just Punish The Kids?"

Did you see the Sudan demo over jailed British teacher Gillian Gibbons? A bunch of morons people gathered to demonstrate against the “mild sentence” Gibbons received and some even publicly called for her to “be shot”. She was later on moved for her own safety. I’m assuming that 99,9% of those “demonstrators” were called “Mohammad”.

infidelteddy  The protesters gathered in Martyrs Square, outside the presidential palace in the capital, many of them carrying knives and sticks. According to some agencies, some of the protesters chanted: “Shame, shame on the UK”, “No tolerance – execution” and “Kill her, kill her by firing squad”. One Islamo-nut said:

“We can’t accept it from anybody. Even if they can do that in Europe, they cannot do it here in Sudan. We ask our rulers and judges to review what they have said. Fifteen days is not enough.”

But hang on a minute, everybody seems to bluntly ignore the fact that NOT Gillian Gibbons, the school teacher named the teddy bear, the pupils did! So shouldn’t we ask ourselves, if they kids named the teddy, why don’t they punish them? Actually they should be chanting their brainless “kill!” and “shot!” about the kids. Why does the teacher have to go to jail? Because she’s Non-Muslim? Because she’s white, western and educated and may teach the children evil things such as freedom of speech and democracy??

At least they didn’t sentence her to 40 lashes and being soon deported from Sudan is probably the best thing that could’ve happened to Gibbons. One more thought; I wonder if it would change the whole situation if the teddy bear was circumcised?

Watch the gang of nutters “demonstrating” and swinging their mighty sticks on the BBC’s web site and ranting stuff like “I will find her, I will kill her, I will behead her myself” . Link

  1. Seems the kids did name the bear… If anyone has an issue, perhaps the parents that taught the kids about their beliefs should be held accountable. The teacher’s activity is a common one used in with younger students. Frequently classes have some type of animal or puppet that the students can name. It makes class a little friendlier and is a great approach to inspiring self expression in younger children. I’ve known many folks by the name of Jesus, Moses, Mohammed, and I’ve never thought of them as particularly different from the rest of the population. Perhaps we should globally ban the use of any of these names so as not to affend. Equally ridiculous.

  2. I heard that it was an ex-employee of the school that started the whole thing. Apparently she had tried to get some of the students’ parents involved and the parents wanted nothing to do with it, so she took the whole thing public herself, in attempts to get the school closed for firing her.
