NASA Observing Planet For Infectious Diseases

What to think of this: NASA has utilized 14 orbiting satellites to observe our planet’s environment to “help predict and prevent infectious disease outbreaks around the world.” The collected date is then forwarded to  the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Defense. The remote sensing technology is currently be used to target and track malaria (and other nasty things we probably never heard about) and NASA’s surveillance system can actually tell the cause of any outbreak. A smart move. Doesn’t this sound a bit familiar though? Disease, outbreak, satellites…surveillance… what does this remind me of…:
